I'm being a little dramatic with the title of this blog, but we did experience all of those things in this gorgeous family's portrait session =)
1-If you are in the Fort Worth area, you guys all well aware of just how rainy it has been the past couple of months. So after rescheduling their portrait sessions once already and the upcoming forecast looking bleak we decided to go forward with their family portrait session even though everything was soggy and muddy.
2- Even with the highs in the mid 80's all of the rain made for crazy humid conditions which caused me to sweat uncontrollably
3- sweet Varon bit her tongue which is where the blood and tears played in during our time together.
Still our session, in my opinion, was perfect!
But let me backtrack to before their family portrait session, During our pre-session consultation, Crystal mentioned to me that her youngest is a hard nut to crack with her sassiness that comes with threenagers and that they have yet to get a professional portrait of her smiling. I told her that I wasn't scared and that kids are my jam.. of all ages... even the sassy threenagers! ( I think Opal is just 2 but she is advanced for her age ) Remember I have four kids of my own, all of them full of sass, and I am a child photographer I'm actually better with kids than I am adults. The most exciting part of our consult was personalizing and designing their family portrait session. I LOVED that Crystal took full advantage of my available gowns AND the main company I use for dress rentals. Only dad had to find something to wear, I brought everything else, and that was fun for me and super easy for Crystal! I mean she really did it right! We made a plan at the consult and all they had to do for the portrait session is show up. bing bang boom. I really enjoy making this a fun and easy experience for my clients!
Just look at these portraits! and if you notice I got so many portraits of Opal smiling! See I told you kids where my jam =)
