The number 1 thing I hear from my clients is that " I am not photogenic". I have been a portrait photographer for 14 years and let me tell you right now being "photogenic" or not "photogenic" is a myth. There is no such thing. What you are experiencing is a bad picture, either unflattering light OR unflattering pose.. that is it. Even Beyoncé has experienced a bad portrait of her and does she go around telling people she just isn't photogenic. of course not. So here are a few quick tips to help you get a better selfie. First, the light, stand in front of a window it has that gorgeous filtered light that kind of mimics the light of a beauty dish. This kind of light is very flattering, and is a must for mature skin it. This light reflects off your skin giving a youthful glow and it hides our wrinkles and blemishes. Second, the pose. Whatever is closest to the camera will look big. I like to hold my phone just barely over my eyes to make my eyes look big and bright and I always make sure to push my rear end back to give a flattering slimming look. You can tell by the picture's below that these little tweaks make a big difference in a selfie! My last tip, hire a professional photographer who is an expert in both lighting and posing and knows exactly how to pose and light each client to enhance their beauty and make sure you end up with gorgeous portraits of yourself. for more information on booking with me click the "contact me" button below, or to schedule a free phone consult click " schedule a free phone consult" button below
